Cheese & Spinach Pinwheels

A really easy and tasty lunch idea that is perfect for school lunchboxes or as a tasty snack which only contains 3 ingredients!

When it comes to baking anything that has under five ingredients is a winner for me. These cheese and spinach pinwheels only have three ingredients and they are really quick and easy to make, the perfect combination. Another bonus is that these are freezable, so perfect for quick lunchboxes.

Cheese and Spinach Pinwheels

Ingredients

Ready to roll puff pastry
100g of grated cheese
A handful of fresh spinach (washed and patted dry)

Method

Take the pastry out of its packaging and leave it for ten minutes. Preheat the oven to 180 and grease a baking tray. Roll out the puff pastry onto a floured surface to make it slightly thinner. Sprinkle the cheese on, making sure it's evenly spread out. Next add the spinach leaves, again making sure it's evenly distributed.

Then carefully roll it up and cut into evenly sized pieces. Next transfer onto the baking tray making sure you leave enough space between each pinwheel. Bake in the oven for 25/30 minutes depending on how thick you cut your pinwheels. Once baked leave to cool before transferring to an airtight container or into the freezer.

  1. I know this is a stupid question but do you defrost them once they've come out of the freezer? Or can you cook them straight out?
